The concept behind this album (and the Live version of this album) was to perform with fellow musicians. Probably one of the side effects was that many fans of Peter, Paul, and Mary were introduced to a number of musicians that they hadn't known before.
Cheryl doesn't perform on either album.
Cheryl's dad was at a Peter, Paul, and Mary concert after this album came out. He was invited backstage after the show, where he was told that they thought that Cheryl was one of the best singer/songwriters of the day. (But we already knew that, didn't we?)
