Cheryl has been touring fairly often with Kenny White, for which we are all greateful. During their tour of the west coast in early 2012, Cheryl started refering to Kenny as her husband. At one point, Cheryl was talking to Cathleen and apparently they had a little spat. When she hung up the phone, she commented that right now she liked her husband better than she liked her wife. She and Kenny both laughed (and Cathleen has laughed about it as well) and Cheryl decided she had to write that song. (Because if she didn't, who would?)
