This song is about Cheryl's cat, Lou, who was in an accident. She found him about 2 in the morning, with his jaw broken in two places. She rushed him to a 24 hour vet in Warwick, who operated on him. Cheryl wanted to write a song about him, but didn't want to add any negativity to the situation, so she kept saying "he's gonna be fine, he's gonna be fine", and she wrote about what a neat cat he is.
This is a nice little song about how cool a cat can be. Apparently, Lou is quite a spunky little cat.

- Cheryl Wheeler
- Straightenin' out your back legs, stretching in my arms
- Yawning, blinking, curling back around
- Your dismissive glances slap me back somehow
- Meow, meow, meow
- Sleepin' on the big bed, the sultan slips the scene
- Chasing something running in your dream
- I am so enchanted, with your twitch and growl
- Meow, meow, meow
- I see you in Memphis on the Nile in the spring
- Swinging through some palace doing your Egyptian king thing
- You perceive my function, 24 a day
- Is to do, for you, anything you say
- Where'd you get that notion? How come I kowtow?
- Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
- Yeah buddy, meow, meow, meow
