This is a good song for those of us looking for a round tuit. As soon as I get my act together I will handle all my problems.
Interestingly, this is one of the few songs that Cheryl has written on demand. While recording Circles & Arrows, the producer, Kyle Lehning, told her that she should write another song for the album. Now Cheryl doesn't usually write songs that way, songs usually "just appear". She was in her room trying to write a song, and complaining that she will write it "as soon as I find my voice". The result was this song.
As far as I know, Cheryl has never performed this in front of a live audience.
- Soon As I Find My Voice
- Words And Music By
- Cheryl Wheeler
- Soon as I find my voice, talk to you all night
- Soon as I get these words, get these words just right
- Soon as I think I see you clearly in my sights
- Soon as I find my, soon as I find my voice
- Soon as I see my road, walk the straightest line
- Soon as I know what's yours, understand what's mine
- Soon as I hear in sync, I'll be singing all the time
- Soon as I find my, soon as I find my voice
- There seems to be something whispering to me
- I don't hear a thing, all night
- Something is blowin' around outside
- Something is draggin' me down
- Soon as I learn these ropes, bound to win this fight
- Soon as I know what's wrong, try to do what's right
- Soon a I get this darkness closer to the light
- Soon as I find my, soon as I find my voice
- Soon as I hit my stride, run the course on time
- Soon as I catch your light, do my best to shine
- Soon as I know my part, I'll be practicing my lines
- Soon as I find my, soon as I find my voice
