Guidelines for Swapping
I am interested in swapping live recordings with other fans of Cheryl. If you have any Cheryl recordings that aren't on this list, please let me know. I would love to swap with you. If there is a recording with Cheryl on it, I want a copy.
I am only interesting in swapping if you have recordings of Cheryl. If you don't have any recordings of Cheryl to swap, I will attempt to get you in touch with someone who might be willing to swap for some other artist.
Most of my recordings are audience recordings or recorded from the radio. The quality of the recordings vary. The radio recordings are usually the best, but many live performances were broadcast on the radio, so they are quite good. Audience recordings vary, even within the same recording. It depends a lot on the quality of the recorder, and what the other people in the audience are doing. But, since this is the only way you are likely to hear some of Cheryl's songs, they are often worth it.
You will notice that many of the more recent shows are now on CD; the others are cassette tapes. I have been slowly but surely converting some of the older concerts to CD as well. I much prefer to send CDs instead of tapes, especially since my tape deck died. So, if you ask to swap for a cassette, I will probably take the time to convert it to CD first. So, if you are in a hurry, you might want to choose a CD instead.
I encourage everyone to buy all of Cheryl's albums; they are all great. Please don't collect live recordings as a substitute for buying her albums. That isn't fair to Cheryl. But there are many of her songs that have never appeared on commercial recordings, and probably won't be. There are also some of her older songs that she doesn't do any more. Fortunately, some of them have been preserved on these recordings.
